It’s still hard to believe that the Christmas season is quickly approaching. I know you guys are all searching for the perfect gifts to give. I’ve been really big on protective styling and wig wearing this year so it’s only right that I compile a holiday gift guide, specifically for wig lovers!
You guys should feel so special. I spent hours perusing various Facebook Groups, visiting beauty supply stores, and asking tons of wig fanatics what they hoped to receive this Christmas season. I promise you, this is the latest and greatest when it comes to wigs, wig tools, wig accessories and other cute items to compliment your wig look.
I don’t think you can mention wigs without mentioning a wig head… or at least that’s what I call it! This is the perfect tool to help you prep your wig before you move it to your head.
While we here, let me mention the wig grip. I just found out about these not too long ago. The wig grip is used on top of the stocking cap to securely keep the wig in place without the use of glue.
If you’re into using glue, then I highly recommend the Got2B Glued Styling Gel. It’s strong enough to hold your wig in place, but still pretty safe for your edges. I swear by the styling gel as well as the Got2B Blasting Freeze Spray.
My go to item for wigs is definitely my classic Chi Flat Iron (don’t forget the Chi Style and Stay Hairspray). Tried and true, I’ve had this thing for years! When this one decides to kick the bucket, I’ll be getting the digital Chi Titanium Flat Iron shown here. I love that it has a 3 second heat up and it shows you the exact temperature being used.
You can’t have a straightener without having ways to put curls back into your hair. I love using the big barreled curling wands. They make the most beautiful, luscious curls. You can check the Xtava Twist digital curling wand out here. They even throw in a thermal glove to protect your fingers.
Bobby pins are always great when doing an updo or for holding curls in place. If you have a straight wig, then be sure to grab a Bed Head Wax Stick to tame your flyaways. Wax sticks in windy weather are everything!
When I wear my wig, I think it’s necessary to create a full on glam look. You can’t have one without the other… so, I like to glam it up with cute earrings, flamboyant eyeshadow, and wispy mink lashes!
I think I’ve mentioned pretty much everything. If there’s something that I missed, let me know in the comments below. Until then, happy gifting!
I’ve been trying to step up my wig game in the past couple of months. All of these are great suggestions. I’m definitely going to try out the Got2B Glued styling gel. I’ve heard of it before but never thought about giving it a try.
I love wigs. I haven’t tried the chi yet. Ive heard a lot about it and been thinking of purchasing
I want a wig so bad but mine don’t ever look natural ? lol I need to do more research though
